1965. American motorcycle designer William “Wild Bill” Gelbke with his Roadog motorcycle. It was 17 feet (5.2 m) long and weighed 3,280 lbs (1,490 kg). Roadog was quipped with a Chevrolet 153 engine and GM powerglide transmission. Roadog introduced several firsts to motorcycle design, including dual headlights, automatic transmission with reverse gear, the hydraulic stands, and front and rear disc brakes.
